Pet massage is becoming increasingly popular across the United States as more and more people are realizing that the many benefits they receive from human massage extend to the canine population. In addition, veterinarians everywhere are beginning to refer their canine clients to specially trained massage therapists to help relieve some of the pain associated with common problems like hip displaysia and arthritis. Not only are the physical benefits amazing, but massage is also a wonderful stress reducer for your dog. The many benefits of canine massage include that it:

  • Relieves tension
  • Relaxes muscle spasms
  • Prevents injuries and loss of motion
  • Helps dogs recover faster from stressful events
  • Helps muscles perform at their highest potential
  • Enhances muscle tone and increases range of motion
  • Alleviates stiffness and restores mobility to injured tissues
    Plus,
Dogs love it because they simply feel great!

Acupuncture is now recognized by the American Veterinary Medical Association as "an integral part of veterinary medicine." It is frequently chosen to compliment traditional therapies or to provide an alternative form of medical therapy. According to Chinese philosophy, disease is an imbalance of energy in the body. Disease or injuries are indicated by symptoms or other abnormal signs and are quite simply expressions of an imbalance or an interruption of the movement of this energy as it flows through the body. Acupuncture therapy involves the use of needles and laser to stimulate certain points along well defined channels on the skin called meridians, balancing the circulation of energy, and thereby correcting its flow and healing the animal.

The benefits of acupuncture are very convincing when observed. Acupuncture has been successful in treating:

  • Pain and Stress Relief from all Orthopedic Spinal Injuries and Structural Problems
  • Neurological and Musculoskeletal Issues
  • Paralysis and Lameness
  • Back or Leg Pain and Arthritis
  • Allergies and Respiratory Problems
  • Grief, Anxiety, Fear, Aggression, and other Behavioral Issues
  • Digestive Disorders
  • Urinary Tract and Kidney Disorders
  • Immune Deficiencies (Helping Animals with Cancer)
  • Seizure Tendencies and Epilepsy
  • Medical/Surgical Recovery

As well as assisting with many other preventive care issues and injuries that fail to heal.

Our highly trained and certified practitioner is available by special appointment or your pet can receive this healing and relaxing treatment while staying with us.
