Doggie Daycare
We provide an innovative, exciting and fun alternative to leaving your four-legged friend alone at home. Your dog can run, play, wrestle, chase, play hide and seek, snuggle up with a buddy, get lavished with attention or simply hang out with friends in our indoor/outdoor playgrounds — all while under the close supervision of our trained and certified pet loving staff whose primary goals are safety and fun. Your pet will enjoy other dogs of comparable age and size who have similar social and activity levels. We even have a special playground just for small dogs.

Of course, all of our guests have free access to water and “rest rooms” all day.

At Dogwood Acres, we let our canine friends determine their daily activities. Each dog has its own idea of a good time so we help them do what they enjoy doing best. Whether your dog is a “ball dog”, a “catch me if you can dog”, a “water dog” or a “chill dog” they will fit right into our Doggie Daycare family.
No matter what they are doing throughout the day, our daycare pups can expect a day rich with exercise and attention, filled with social interaction and play with both other daycare dogs and our caring pet loving staff.

Our Daycare friends are supervised closely, promoting good manners and behaviors for all - for a fun filled day of socializing and play. Of course, all of our daycare dogs have free access to water and “restrooms” all day
Daycare mornings are filled with energy and playfulness as all our daycare friends arrive for the day. Afternoons will find most pups catching a few zzz’s in their favorite sunny or shaded spots.
Most days our friends enjoy our spacious tree lined play yard, but if the weather is less than perfect, we have our specially designed indoor “gymnasium” (complete with specially designed slip resistant floors and lots of natural light!). Rain or shine, at the end of any day, you will be greeted by a happy (and tired) pooch.
We also can provide lunch or any other medical or dietary requests for our daycare guests. And don’t forget our Salon and Spa opens its doors daily to all our daycare guests for any bathing or Ala Cart Salon service appointments.

Guidelines
All dogs attending Daycare must:
- Be at least 4 months old
- Be in general good health and have written proof of up–to–date vaccinations, including Rabies, DHLPP, and Bordatella
- Be spayed or neutered — Puppies under 6 months of age are exempt
- Not be protective of space, water or toys
- Respond to “No” or “Off” commands
- Play appropriately in a group setting
- Respond to their name and come when called
Pre–Screening
Our guests’ welfare and happiness is our top priority, so we want to make sure our group dynamic is a good fit for your pet. To this end, we require all Daycare dogs to do the following:
- Prior to enrolling in Daycare, Dogwood Acres requires that all dogs and their owners go through an informal interview and temperament screening. This gives you a chance to learn more about our program while we make a preliminary determination concerning your dog’s suitability for our program.

Upon successful completion of the interview, we’ll schedule a trial day so that our staff can meet your dog and determine their compatibility. Please note – there is a non–refundable fee for the trial day.
